GCC Website Rebuild

Situation :

The Greetings Card Company has been in business for over 20 years, and was one of the first ecommerce businesses to emerge in the greetings cards space.  GCC came to Rising Tyde wanting to update their front end website, and refresh the brand in order to reboot and grow the business to a new audience.

Task :

The Greetings Card company needed to update their customer facing site, as well as the backend that linked to their ordering and fulfillment systems.  Their old site was not mobile friendly and as a result traffic and ultimately sales had been dropping YOY for the last three years.

The business needed a brand refresh to help appeal to a new audience, and match the ambitions of the new site.

Action :

Firsltly the amazing deigner Nikki Scott was briefed to understand the GCC audience and concept some new brand assets.  Once a few options were prototyped these were user tested with the GCC team and key customers.  A clear winner emerged and a full suite of brand assets were created.

Secondly a brief was put out to the Rising Tyde development community, and Appcentric were apointed due their experience, speed and ability to deliver on both the front and back end requirements.  A full scoping with the GCC exec and office staff was carried out, and a technical spec was created.

The creation of the new website was a huge undertaking as it hadn't been updated in a number of years.

Result :

The new site is now live, and the results have been fantastic.  Revenue for 2020 is up 108% YOY in the same period and conversion rate on the site has increased from 6% to 10%.

The site is now appearing much more favourably on Google, resulting in revenue driven from SEO increasing by 150%.
